our unique workforce in an environmental context.

Make a Donation

Recycle South is a registered charity – your donation makes a difference.

Every dollar we receive goes directly back to the business, whether that’s giving back to our staff and shouting morning tea/lunch, helping to fund special projects, going towards buying new equipment, or helping out with operational costs; each donation is important. If there is a specific area you would like to donate towards, let us know!

Continuing our mission of sustainability in Southland is important work. Our recycling services help keep waste out of landfills and waterways; we just need some help to ensure our continued growth. Each donation, no matter how big or small makes a direct difference to how we are able to operate and improve the lives of those in our community who live with a disability.

There is a number of ways you can donate to us. You can deposit into our bank account or leave a bequest in your Will.

Every cent counts and will make a difference!

Your Bequest

Leave a legacy of sustainability.

You don’t need to be rich or famous to make a difference! It is a common misconception that only famous, wealthy people leave money to organisations when they pass. But the majority of bequests both big and small are made by everyday, hardworking people who want to make a positive difference in their community after they are gone.

Including Recycle South in your Will is a way to bring dignity, meaning, and purpose to a life well-lived. It is an excellent opportunity to support our organisation and we will ensure that you, your values, and your kindness will live on in the memories of those who have received your support.

Your generosity will directly impact and improve the lives of local people within the disabled community, and contribute directly to the future of sustainability in Southland.

How To Make A Bequest

If you have an existing Will, you may add a simple modification called a codicil – a codicil is a supplement to a Will that is intended to alter or modify it. We recommend that this be checked and approved by a legal advisor to ensure it is applied correctly.

If you do not have an existing Will, it is simple to have one put in place by a legal professional, and it ensures that your wishes are clearly conveyed.

There are multiple ways to leave a donation in a bequest. You can choose to leave a specific amount, an item, or a percentage of your estate. You also have the option of leaving your bequest to be used freely so that Recycle South may apply the funds to the areas where it is needed the most at that time, or you can specify where you would like the funds to be used.

There is no requirement for you to let us know about a bequest. However, we would love the opportunity to make sure that your generosity is thanked and acknowledged in your lifetime.

We will respect your wishes if you choose to remain anonymous.

Wording for a Bequest

Here’s an indication of the accepted form of words that can be used to leave a bequest to Recycle South:

“I give and bequeath the sum of $_____________ (or) __________ % of my estate, (or) residue of my estate, (or) property or assets as follows _____________________________________ free of all charges, to Recycle South. The official receipt of the Chief Executive or other authorised officer of the Trustee is an absolute discharge to my executors.”
